PulsePoint is a mobile application designed to enhance emergency response by immediately notifying users about critical incidents like cardiac arrests in their area. Connected directly to 911 dispatch systems, it empowers everyday citizens trained in CPR to provide lifesaving assistance before professional responders arrive.

The PulsePoint AED component manages a comprehensive registry of automated external defibrillators (AEDs), ensuring emergency telecommunicators and responders have current AED locations accessible during cardiac emergencies. This maximizes the chances of survival by facilitating quick access to vital equipment.

Launched in 2011, PulsePoint is backed by the PulsePoint Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to improving cardiac arrest survival rates in partnership with public safety agencies. The foundation also supports agencies with integration, outreach, and professional services to optimize the app’s deployment and effectiveness.
